Executive Coaching

An executive coaching session is a focused conversation about your real leadership challenges—not theory, not hypotheticals.

You come in with what's on your plate: a tough decision, a people issue, a transition, or something that just isn't sitting right. Together, we slow it down and get clear on what's actually going on.

The coach's role isn't to tell you what to do. It's to help you see the situation more clearly, think more strategically, and choose your next move deliberately.

Sessions are confidential, practical, and grounded in real work. Most leaders describe them as the rare space where they can think out loud, challenge their own assumptions, and make better decisions without pressure or politics.

In a typical session, you will:

  • 1

Talk through a current leadership challenge

  • 2

Clarify what matters most and what's getting in the way

  • 3

Look at how your thinking, reactions, or habits may be influencing the situation

  • 4

Consider different ways to respond or move forward

  • 5

Leave with a few clear actions you commit to try before the next session

Benefits of Executive Coaching

1

Clearer thinking

You get out of your own head and see situations more accurately. Less noise, fewer assumptions, better judgment.

2

Better decisions under pressure

Coaching helps you slow down just enough to make smart calls—especially when the stakes are high and the path isn't obvious.

3

Greater self-awareness

You start to see how your habits, reactions, and leadership style affect others—for better or worse. That insight is leverage.

4

Stronger leadership presence

Leaders often gain confidence, credibility, and composure—how they show up in meetings, conversations, and tough moments.

5

Improved relationships

Coaching sharpens how you communicate, manage conflict, and influence across peers, direct reports, and senior leaders.

6

Fewer blind spots

Through feedback and reflection, coaching surfaces patterns you may not see on your own—before they become real problems.

7

Practical action, not just insight

Each session ends with clear next steps. Coaching turns awareness into behavior change, not just good intentions.

8

Support during transitions

Whether stepping into a new role, navigating change, or planning what's next, coaching provides steady guidance during uncertainty.

9

Reduced burnout

Leaders often regain perspective, energy, and boundaries—making leadership more sustainable over time.

10

A confidential thinking partner

Coaching gives you a rare, trusted space to be honest, challenge your own thinking, and talk through issues without politics or judgment.

About the Approach

Leadership Cohort Learning

A powerful development experience that combines expert facilitation with the collective wisdom of peers

Leadership cohort learning session

Leadership Cohort Learning brings together a small group of leaders—typically 6 to 10—who meet regularly over several months to tackle real challenges, share insights, and grow together. Unlike traditional training programs, cohort learning is deeply personal, highly practical, and immediately applicable.

Each session is facilitated by Dr. Kevin Nourse, who guides the group through structured conversations, coaching exercises, and peer problem-solving. Participants bring actual leadership challenges from their work, receive multiple perspectives, and leave with concrete action steps.

The result? Accelerated development, lasting relationships, and real transformation—not just knowledge, but genuine behavior change.

Common topics explored in leadership cohorts include: emotional intelligence, resilience and self-care, executive presence, strategic agility, personal productivity, navigating setbacks, and making peace with an impostor voice.

Key Elements of Cohort Learning

Small Group Size

Intimate groups of 6-10 leaders ensure everyone has time to share and receive feedback

Real Challenges

Work on actual leadership situations you're facing, not hypothetical case studies

Peer Coaching

Learn to coach others while receiving valuable perspectives on your own challenges

Sustained Growth

Monthly sessions over 6 months allow for practice, reflection, and lasting change

Accountability

Commit to actions between sessions and report back to your cohort on progress

"The best leadership development happens when leaders learn together—sharing real challenges, offering diverse perspectives, and holding each other accountable for growth."

— Dr. Kevin Nourse

Clinical Professionals

Leadership Impact Cohort – Clinical Professionals

This Leadership Impact Cohort brought together speech pathologists and audiologists who wanted to strengthen their leadership effectiveness and professional confidence. Participants identified common challenges limiting their impact, including impostor thinking, lack of clarity around career direction, and difficulty advocating for themselves.

At the start of the engagement, Dr. Nourse administered the Hogan Personality Assessment and worked individually with each participant to create a focused development plan. The cohort met monthly for 90-minute sessions over six months. In each session, participants presented real leadership challenges, received coaching and peer perspective, and committed to specific actions to practice between meetings.

As a result of the cohort, participants reported a stronger sense of personal agency, practical strategies for managing impostor thoughts, clearer career direction, and increased confidence in self-advocacy—including during job interviews.

What to Expect

A structured cohort journey from assessment to lasting impact

1

Individual Intake & Orientation

2

Cohort Kickoff Session

The first group session focuses on connection and alignment. You'll get to know your fellow participants, establish shared norms for the cohort, and gain clarity on the purpose, structure, and arc of the experience ahead.

3

Ongoing Cohort Sessions

Each session provides dedicated time for participants to:

  • Share real challenges and successes
  • Receive thoughtful peer perspectives and support
  • Reflect more deeply on their leadership and development
  • Make clear commitments to action between sessions

The emphasis is on learning through dialogue, not advice-giving or performance.

4

Integration & Wrap-Up

In the final cohort session, the group reflects on progress made, insights gained, and lessons learned. Participants also discuss how they want to carry this learning forward and whether they wish to continue meeting informally to sustain momentum.

5

Final Individual Debrief

The experience concludes with a final one-on-one session to reflect on your growth, integrate key takeaways, and acknowledge progress made during the cohort.
