Kevin Nourse, PhD, PCC is an executive transition coach and CEO/Founder of Nourse Leadership Strategies (NLS). He launched NLS after a multifaceted career in finance, training, software development, human resources and consulting. Nourse Leadership Strategies works with healthcare and pharmaceutical clients throughout Southern California, including the Inland Empire, San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orange County.
Kevin's passion for flying trapeze transformed his perspective on risk-taking and leadership, leading him to recognize that entrepreneurship was the perfect fit. In the summer of 2001, Kevin called his boss at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) from a phone booth on Cape Cod to volunteer to be downsized from his job and fly into entrepreneurship – fulfilling his vision for supporting leaders and transforming organizations.
Before Kevin launched his practice in 2001, he worked in many roles, including human resource director, instructional designer, training manager, financial analyst, systems analyst, and software developer. The breadth of his organizational expertise has been made invaluable in his work with leaders and managers.
Academically, Kevin has an MA degree in human resource development, a BS degree in Information Science, and is a
Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from the International Coach Federation. He finished his
Ph.D. in human and organization development in 2009 and conducted
research on crisis leadership in New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina.
Kevin has developed a deep passion for helping his clients live balanced, integrated, and intentional lives – which he takes to heart in modeling it for his clients. His passions beyond his work include hiking, photography, volunteer work, impressionist oil painting, road trips, and volunteer work to help the homeless.
